Iluminar 1000w DE System, Hortilux DE

The Iluminar 1000w DE takes DE (Double Ended bulb) lighting technology and adds it into a very high quality, and yet affordable grow light. One major perk with the Iluminar DE light is it is the only non-Gavita DE light system that will work perfectly with any Gavita controller. The Iluminar DE also has the backing of the industries leading lamp manufacturer- Hortilux- all systems come complete with a 1000w Hortilux DE lamp. The Iluminar DE is a complete grow light system, ready to plug in and go.

The light cast from the Iluminar DE reflector blankets the lighting area with consistently more intensity and uniformity over the entire lighting area than it's competitors. If you're currently running Gavita DE fixtures, try adding an Iluminar DE to your room and connect it with your Gavita controller for a side-by-side comparison. If you're just entering the world of DE lighting- Iluminar DE is a superior fixture for a lower cost!

Why choose a DE (double ended) bulb over a SE (single ended) HPS bulbs? Double-ended (DE) HPS bulbs connect to the fixture on each end much like fluorescent tube bulbs. The inner, light-generating tube is supported by two small wires on each end, and lacks the frame wire that crosses in front of the arc tube that exists on all SE (single ended) HPS bulbs. Without any of the metallic structure that SE bulbs need to support the arc tube within the bulb, DE bulbs are significantly thinner than SE bulbs. Exposing the arc tube to the bulb without any metal framing in this way increases light delivery to the canopy of your plants. The symmetry of DE bulbs allows you hold an even spread of light much easier than is possible with SE bulbs. The lack of a wire frame also improves on its light delivery and output, and the thinner bulb also improves its optical properties. SE bulbs always have a "hot-spot". DE bulbs have consistent intense output from one end of the bulb to the other, without any hot-spots. In addition, DE bulbs have longer operating lives. DE bulbs retain 90% of their efficiency after 10,000 hours of usage, which by far outlasts the efficient usage of any SE bulb.
